Player tests - Bestie

After having people like Mikael play our game, I discovered several ways to improve it.

The first improvement was changing the threading system. Originally, players had to first take the needle, then choose a thread color. Only after doing that could they use the needle and thread to stitch something. Many players found this process confusing, so I decided to simplify it by having two needles with diffrent colored threads instead.

Next, I increased the width of the stitch marks, as many players didn't even notice them.

Continuing, I took Mikael's advice to give the crab more character, similar to how the Duolingo owl has its own personality. I gave the crab different expressions and added sound effects to make it more engaging.

Furthermore, I followed Mikael's advice to make the clothes look distressed, encouraging players to actually repair them.

Continuing with user testing, I found that many people tried to use the station icons as tools because the browser's drag image option was enabled. To fix this, I made those images non-draggable, and all the confusion around them disappeared.

THIS is the final game demo version.
